Some More Sumbawa

I finally got a chance to learn how to ride a bike (the kind with a motor) which I've been waiting to do for ages now.  After I got the basics down I went for a cruise up the coast to check out some of the neighbouring towns and beaches.

They still use horse and carts in Sumbawa, well to do the heavy lifting and moving anyway.  This dude caught my eye and was more than happy to pose indo-cowboy for me as he moved fallen trees from one paddock to the next.

A small fishing village I stumbled across about an hour from where we were staying.  No sand here! Just lots and lots of pebbles.  A really cool place that was as quiet and still as the water.

The Sumbawan people are truly happy.  They might not have much in the way of material possessions, but they're always smiling and welcoming.  This old lady sold prawns down at the local markets.  I had no idea what she was saying but she seemed pleased that I was interested in her prawn bucket.
